Payment & Donation Policy
Accepted payment methods
We accept donations and book order payments via M-Pesa (for Kenyan mobile money) and PayPal (for international card and PayPal balance payments).
We do not accept payment by cheque, bank transfer, or cash through this website. Cash payments made in person at the Madrassa are handled separately and are not covered by this policy.
How your payment is handled
We never see or store your card number, CVV, PayPal password, or M-Pesa PIN. Your payment details are sent directly to PayPal or Safaricom M-Pesa, and we only receive confirmation of whether the payment succeeded.
A donation or order is only marked as paid once we've independently verified this with PayPal or M-Pesa — never simply because your browser reported success.
Donation nature
Donations to Madrassa-Tul-A'ynaat are voluntary gifts to support the Madrassa's operations. We do not currently make any representation about tax-deductibility or any particular religious/legal categorisation (such as zakat, sadaqah jariyah, or waqf eligibility) of a donation — please seek your own advice if this matters for your circumstances.
Refunds — donations
Donations are generally non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error (for example, a duplicate payment or an incorrect amount), please contact us as soon as possible via our Contact page and we will review it on a case-by-case basis.
Refunds — book orders
If a book you ordered is unavailable, we will contact you to offer an alternative or a refund.
Because payment is required before an order is prepared, please contact us before completing payment if you're unsure about an order.
[Pending management review: full cancellation window and refund process for book orders once payment has been made but before pickup.]
Pickup
Book orders are fulfilled by collection from Madrassa-Tul-A'ynaat only. We do not currently offer shipping or delivery. Pickup details are confirmed once your order is ready.
Questions or disputes
For any question about a donation or order, including a payment you believe was processed incorrectly, please contact us via our Contact page with your reference number.
