This policy explains how Madrassa-Tul-A'ynaat ("we", "us", "the madrassa") handles information collected through this website — primarily via our enquiry and contact forms.

This policy is reviewed periodically and may be updated from time to time.

When you submit an enquiry or contact form, we collect the information you provide directly: your name, contact details (phone or email), your child's age where relevant, and any message you include.

We do not knowingly collect information directly from children through this website. Forms are intended to be completed by a parent or guardian.

Information submitted through our forms is used only to respond to your enquiry and, where you proceed with admissions, to support the enrolment process described on our Admissions page.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We do not publish any photograph, video or audio recording of a child on this website, our social media, or any other public platform without specific, written consent from that child's parent or guardian.

When you make a donation, we record the amount, currency, campaign (if any), payment method, and payment status, so we can issue a receipt and keep accurate fundraising records.

Providing your name, email and phone number when donating is optional. If you choose to donate anonymously, your name is not stored against the donation.

We never see or store your card number, M-Pesa PIN, or PayPal login details — those are handled entirely by PayPal or Safaricom M-Pesa. See "Payment processing" below.

When you place a book order, we collect your name, phone number, and optionally your email, along with the items and quantities ordered, so we can prepare your order for collection at the Madrassa and contact you about it.

Orders are currently fulfilled by pickup only — we do not collect or store a shipping address.

Donations and book orders are processed by PayPal and Safaricom M-Pesa. When you pay, you are sending your payment details directly to that provider, not to us — our servers never receive or store your card number, CVV, M-Pesa PIN, or PayPal password.

We store only the outcome of a payment (amount, status, and a reference/transaction ID from the provider) so we can verify and reconcile it.

PayPal's and Safaricom's own privacy policies govern how they handle the payment details you give them directly.

This website does not currently run advertising trackers. A book order you start is remembered in your browser's local storage only, so it survives a page reload — it is never sent to us until you place the order, and it never leaves your device otherwise.

If privacy-conscious analytics (for example, to understand which pages are most useful to parents) are added in future, this policy will be updated to describe exactly what is collected.

Enquiry and admissions information is retained only as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry or, if your child enrols, for the duration of their time at the madrassa plus a reasonable administrative period.

Donation and order records are retained for as long as reasonably necessary for financial record-keeping and reconciliation with our payment providers.

You may ask us at any time what information we hold about you or your child, request a correction, or ask for it to be deleted, by contacting us using the details on our Contact page.
